Admission Criteria
Counties Services
1. There must no one else-family, friends, facility, other private guardian programs, banks etc-to serve as the guardian or conservator.
2. Priority admission will be given to clients in immediate danger.
3. Clients who are able to pay for services will not be excluded from the program; however, they may be asked use their own funds to pay their fees.
4. The State Office of the Public Guardian determines admission to the program; services are provided by Corridor Care as the Local Office. The final decision on whether or not a guardian or conservator shall be appointed, and who it will be, is made by a judge.
